I should have known from the start that it was futile to try to wrap my head around the mix of contrasts and contradictions that is Cuba. We tried, though, and had a great twelve days there.
Mexico has been absolutely delicious. Apart from eating far too much, we also relaxed in Cancun, explored the Yucatan peninsula, and visited Mayan ruins.
I used to hate flying into England. This time, though, I was enthusiastic about what lay before us: family time, sports, movies, conferences, events… it was a good week.
Ukraine is a stunning country, full of beautiful buildings, friendly people and delicious dumplings. We’ll be back.
Moldova has been on our dream destination list since before we even left New Zealand in 2006. We finally made it, and it exceeded our expectations — especially with regards to its wine!
It certainly wasn’t what we expected, but Oundle has been good to us. Read our travel diary of our last two weeks housesitting in Oundle, UK.
When we agreed to housesit in Oundle for five weeks, we thought there’d be nothing to do. We were wrong. Read our Oundle travel diary!
We planned to spend our time in Prague working, but ended up doing a nine-day gastronomy tour and spending time with friends. Read our Prague travel diary.
Five weeks after leaving our temporary home in Spain, we’ve already taken part in a wine-throwing festival, walked 300km, and spent time in beer gardens all over Berlin.
